HiKorea announced on 6 October 2026 that the Seoul Immigration Office (서울출입국·외국인청) will start work at its new building on 19 October 2026.

New address: 55 Jeongui-ro, Songpa-gu, Seoul (서울시 송파구 정의로 55)

How to get there (from the notice): • Subway: get off at Munjeong Station and walk about 10 minutes from Exit 4. • Bus: get off at the Munjeong Rodeo Street Entrance stop and walk about 15 minutes. Or take the Songpa 02 route to the Hillstate Eco Songpa or Seoul Korean Medicine Hospital stop and walk about 2 minutes.

Important: after the move, no work is carried out at the old Mokdong building (151 Mokdong-dong-ro, Yangcheon-gu).

What it means for you: if you have an appointment or paperwork at the Seoul Immigration Office on or after 19 October, go to the new Songpa-gu address, not to Mokdong.

What to do: check the address on your appointment or notice before you go. The notice does not say how appointments already made are handled or whether opening hours change, so check HiKorea (hikorea.go.kr) or call the Immigration Contact Center on 1345. HiKorea attached English, Chinese, Japanese and Vietnamese translations of the notice.
