Nepal is not a party to the Hague Apostille Convention, so diplomas and transcripts still need full consular legalization: authenticated first by Nepal's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, then legalized again by the Korean Embassy in Kathmandu. Budget extra time for this two-step process compared to countries that can use a single apostille.
Korean universities typically ask for a bank balance of roughly 10,000,000–20,000,000 KRW, held in your name for at least three months before you apply — that's approximately NPR 1,134,000–2,268,000 at recent exchange rates. A large deposit made right before applying is treated as borrowed money and rejected; the balance history matters more than the total.
